Hello, I’m Jelle Vanhorenbeke.

I’m a Spanish/Belgian Software Engineer (Canary Islands is home). I currently live in San Francisco. During the weekdays I spent most of my time @Radius Intelligence where I brew coffee and tell computers what to do. I joined Radius’ Search Team after spending three years in Chicago.

I’m on a mission to try all the almond croissants in the city. To make up for all those croissants I try to stay healthy doing triathlons. I’m part of the Golden Gate Triathlon Club Board and preparing my second full Ironman this year. Check out some of my past race results :).

One of my passions in life is to build things. I’m always open to new adventures or challenges, from new side projects to a new endurance race. If you’re looking for someone to work on cool ideas, drop me a line!

Projects

[iOS] Kensaku Triathlon Results Ironman Results Search app written in React Native and Kotlin. The main motivation for this project was to play with some of these technologies.
Radius Cycling Leaderboard v2: With a similar look and feel as the first version, we completely rewrote the backend in Kotlin to adapt the new Strava API and added some new features such as the extended stats.
The Other Mail: A side project we worked on to solve an issue we continuously face. TheOtherMail generates throwaway emails forwarded to your personal email address. Say goodbye to long, hard to remember disposable emails and start using products and services anonymously.
Radius Cycling Leaderboard: A year to date ranking system inspired in the 'Tour le France' classifications and based on the Strava activities for a given club or team. This project was started during the second edition of the Radius Hackathon.
